AbstractThe NANOSATC-BR2 is the second cubesat of the Brazilian INPEUFSM NANOSATC-BR Program, which intent to develop human resources for the Brazilian space science and technology. The scientific mission goal of NANOSATC-BR2 is to study the dynamics of the ionized atmosphere, with emphasis on studies concerning the ionospheric irregularities phenomena (such as plasma bubbles, blobs, traveling ionospheric disturbances), that affect the telecommunications and Global Positioning Systems, causing disruptions and interference. The satellite will have a Langmuir probe as one of its payload. In this case, the Langmuir probe is the one of the main device for data collection process. Its purpose is to measure the electron density of the Earth's ionosphere. This paper describes the Langmuir probe that will be taken aboard the NANOSATC-BR2. It is important to point out that the project will result pioneering Brazilian researches and new knowledge about the ionospheric plasma irregularities over the Brazilian sector.
