 About

Mathematical Morphology is a discipline, based on rigorous algebraic and topological foundations, which finds broad application in signal and image processing. It was developed in the 1960´s by a group of researchers, among them Georges Matheron and Jean Serra, working at the 'École des Mines de Paris'. The International Symposium on Mathematical Morphology (ISMM) has established itself as the main scientific event in the field. This edition of ISMM will be the eighth in the series, and the first to be held outside Europe, USA or Australia. The objective of the conference is to bring together researchers, students, and practitioners of Mathematical Morphology in a common, agreeable setting to present and discuss new advances in the field of mathematical morphology.
