| Abstract | O Plano Nacional de Adaptação à Mudança do Clima (PNA) visa ampliar e disseminar o conhecimento sobre risco climático, além de promover a cooperação entre instituições. O projeto Ampliação dos Serviços Climáticos para Investimentos em Infraestrutura (CSI), realizou um Inventário Nacional de Serviços Climáticos com intuito de identificar oportunidades para o aprimoramento destes serviços no Brasil. O levantamento foi composto por 5 etapas: listagem de instituições, priorização de instituições, elaboração do questionário, chamadas para participação e compilação dos dados coletados, além da divulgação dos resultados. No âmbito dos recursos hídricos, o inventário contou com a participação de 51 instituições. Os resultados mostram que a provisão de serviços climáticos está, em sua maioria, associada a universidades e instituições de pesquisa públicas. Além disso, poucas instituições apresentam expertise na elaboração de cenários e de projeções climáticas. Os principais usuários são os pesquisadores, no entanto, nota-se um interesse significativo do governo e de tomadores de decisão. Também existe espaço para melhoria na comunicação entre provedores e usuários. Dentre as sugestões para o aprimoramento dos Serviços Climáticos no Brasil, destaca-se o estabelecimento de uma comunidade para a troca de experiências e informações. ABSTRACT: The Brazilian National Adaptation Plan to Climate Change (NAP) aims to broaden and disseminate knowledge about climate risk, as well as promoting cooperation between institutions. The "Enhancing Climate Services for Infrastructure Investments (CSI)" project carried out a National Inventory of Climate Services with the purpose of identifying opportunities for the improvement of these services in Brazil. The survey was composed of 5 steps: listing of institutions, prioritization of institutions, preparation of the questionnaire, calls for participation and, compilation of collected data and dissemination of results. In the field of water resources, the inventory embraces 51 institutions. The results show that the provision of climate services is mostly associated with universities and public research institutions. In addition, few institutions have expertise in setting scenarios and climate projections. The main users are the researchers; however, there is a significant interest from the government and decision makers. There is also room for improvement in communication between providers and users. Among the suggestions for the improvement of Climate Services in Brazil, we highlight the establishment of a community for the exchange of experiences and information. | |||
