%X An study supported by the ABRACOS Project, has been carried out to determine the interception loss of two different forest sites in Amazônia: one in Ji-Paraná/RO and the other in Marabá/PA. This first part describe the observational experimento For the period studied with the experiment, for Ji-Paraná 11,6% of interception loss was observed during the period. In Marabá the interceptíon represented 12,90;0 of the rainfal during the períod.
